DSE will issue a "Direct Admission" notice to successful students before the list is released

The nomination period for the principal of this year's plan is from 6th to 8th of next month. Each recommended student can only apply for one course specified in SNDAS.

The university will arrange interviews for all recommended students, and arrange written examinations or applied assessments as needed.

The relevant admission results will be notified of "Direct Admission" to successful applicants before the 2022 HKDSE results are announced.

In addition, students who are recommended to participate in SNDAS must submit an application for the Joint University Admissions Method (JUPAS) at the same time and include the selected SNDAS designated courses in the 20 course selections for their JUPAS application.

If the recommended student is admitted, he must decide whether to admit or not before the announcement of the diploma examination results.

If applicants accept admission, their JUPAS application will be automatically deleted from the system. Once students accept direct admission, regardless of their DSE scores, they will not be admitted to other courses.

As for the students who have not successfully applied, their JUPAS applications will be retained and continue to be processed according to the normal procedures.

Admission of students is not affected by DSE scores

Although there is also a "principal recommendation program", the principal can recommend three students who are studying in Form 6 and have outstanding performance in non-academic fields to enter university courses.

However, in this plan, as the results are announced before the DSE is released, the admission of students is not affected by the DSE results, that is, they do not need to meet the requirements of "33222", and each bachelor's degree program under the plan has its own applicable entry. Take CUHK’s "Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Medicine" course as an example. The school requires applicants to be ranked in the top 5% of the first year of Form 5 and Form 6, with excellent grades in English and Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Chemistry or Biology, and two elective subjects Subjects are expected to have a DSE score of 5* or above, Chinese and Liberal Studies are expected to be 5 or above, and they have won awards or obtained certificates in medical-related courses.
