Two amateur divers found one of the largest collections of Roman coins in Europe on the east coast of Spain.
According to a statement from the University of Alicante, on August 24 Luis Lens and César Gimeno were diving near the island of Portichol, in Jávea, when they found 8 coins.
Shortly after, they returned to the same area with a group of archaeologists, who found 45 others.
