The prospective deacon August Bauer was ceremoniously bid farewell to the parish association of Wartenberg at a festive service.
For two years he supported Pastor Gregor Bartkowski in various ways during his training.
“He campaigned for a lot, initiated new things and always offered to help.
We are reluctant to let him go, and with a heavy heart ”, the parish leader thanked him.
Wartenberg - Representing all parishes of the parish association, Ludwig Waitzenauer also spoke appreciative words about the enthusiasm, openness and energy of Bauer, who received a basket of pleasure and a bouquet of flowers.
Bauer is 41 years old, married and has four children.
The Marzlinger will continue to work in the Erding district in the future, as a full-time deacon in the Erdinger Moos parish association.
With the motto of the budding deacons "Serve one another", Bauer thanked each other for the warm cooperation and also explained in his sermon how important a serving spirit is in our society, which should also be followed by deeds.
He feels ready for the deacon service.
At the standing reception in front of the church, numerous believers said goodbye to Bauer personally.
The solemn ordination of the deaconry will take place on Saturday, October 2nd, at 9 a.m. in Munich's Liebfrauendom, which can also be seen in the live stream at www.erzbistum-muenchen.de/stream.
