Postal voting preferred?
Postal voting documents can be requested until 6 p.m. this Friday.
What you have to consider when going to the ballot box on election Sunday, how long the polling stations are open and further information can be found below.
District - With a view to applying for postal votes, Marlies Peischer, spokeswoman for the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Office, where the district election management is located, says: “It is important to consider that the post is becoming scarce.” If you want to apply for a postal vote now, you have to Pick up the documents yourself.
Anyone who is not able to do this can instruct an authorized representative to do so.
He must then submit a power of attorney.
3-G rule at the polling station
Anyone who decides to go to the ballot box does not have to observe the 3-G rule: "The Federal Returning Officer has determined that anyone can go to the polling station without proof," said Peischer.
However, voters must wear a medical mask or an FFP2 mask and keep a distance of at least one and a half meters from others.
Surfaces and pens are disinfected and the rooms are regularly ventilated.
Voters are also allowed to bring their own ballpoint pen.
No photos in the voting booth
The polling stations are open on election Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
You must bring voting rights and an official photo ID.
In the polling station, those entitled to vote receive their voting slip from the electoral board - on which they can then tick the boxes alone (with the exception of small children and assistants) and unobserved in the booth.
It is not allowed to film or take photos in the voting booth.
The electoral board then releases the ballot box, into which the voters throw their ballot papers.

According to Peischer, the first results can be expected on Sunday between 7 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.
