At about 1 p.m. today (24th), a school bus collided with a truck on Kwun Tong Road near the Kowloon Bay MTR station. The front windshield of the school bus was visible at the scene and the driver was once trapped in the car.
Firefighters arrived and rescued the driver. Fortunately, he was slightly injured and sent to the hospital along with the 6 school children in the car.
It is understood that the 6 children are kindergarten students.
The Transport Department pointed out at 1:35 pm that due to a traffic accident, part of the traffic lanes on Kwun Tong Road (toward Mong Kok) near the Kowloon Bay MTR station had been closed.
Motorists can only use the remaining down lanes, and the current traffic on the site is heavy.
