- Shortly after 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Eching, at the feeder to the A 92, there was a serious accident at work.
According to the police, the driver of a truck broke down on his vehicle and called a mechanic from his company for help.
The mechanic, an 18-year-old from the Landshut district, wanted to replace the damaged air spring bellows on the truck's rear axle.

However, this was still under pressure, so that when trying to remove it, he shot the mechanic in the face with full force.
The 18-year-old suffered such serious injuries that the emergency doctor who carried out the first aid requested a helicopter to be transported away.
He was flown to a Munich clinic for further treatment.
As it turned out, the young man's injuries were not life-threatening.
"The landing of the rescue helicopter was secured by the FFW Eching," reported the police.
According to initial investigations, third-party negligence in the accident can be ruled out.
