On September 11, Gabby Petito was reported missing by her family.
Shortly afterwards, the 22-year-old's body was discovered.
After the autopsy of the body, the investigators assume a homicide.

However, there is still no trace of her boyfriend. His parents reported him missing on September 17th. More and more he comes into the focus of the investigation. The police have been looking for him at high pressure for days. The FBI's home has also been searched. Initially, however, the 23-year-old was only considered a “person of interest”. As the local FBI announced on Thursday (September 23), however, an arrest warrant has been issued against him.
The 23-year-old is wanted for bank fraud, it said in a corresponding court document.
Between August 30 and September 1, the 23-year-old used an EC card without authorization.
Initially, however, it was not known who owned the card.
However, it is said that the 23-year-old withdrew around $ 1,000.
The court document is dated Wednesday, September 22nd.
The FBI asked anyone who knew anything about the friend's role or whereabouts in the Gabby Petito case to contact the investigators.
In Germany, however, Rebecca Reusch's missing person case has been making headlines for around three years.
In a video, her parents spoke oppressive words to an alleged confidante on her 18th birthday.
