Nuremberg - Fridays for Future has called for a global climate strike on September 24th.
Under the motto # AlleFürsKlima, around 400 events will take place across Germany on Friday - including in the Nuremberg region *.
Two days before the federal election (September 26th), the demonstrators want to clarify once again: The outcome of the election sets the course for climate policy for the next few decades.
Nuremberg: All Fridays for Future campaigns in the city
In the city of Nuremberg, the demonstration begins at 12 noon with a rally on the Wöhrder Wiese.
From 1.45 p.m., the train will pass through the Kornmarkt and the town hall.
At around 3:45 p.m. the train ends again at Wöhrder Wiese.
A final rally will take place there.
Specifically, according to the website of the Nuremberg branch, the organizers are calling for climate justice, net zero by 2035, coal phasing out by 2030 and 100 percent renewable energies by 2035.
Nuremberg: Protests also in Erlangen, Fürth and Bamberg
Demonstrations will also take place in other cities in the region on Friday.
In Erlangen *, an action starts at 11 a.m. on Schlossplatz.
In Fürth there will be a demonstration on the Green Market from 4 p.m.
In Bamberg, the demonstrators will meet on the station forecourt from 1 p.m.
In Forchheim, a running demo will move from Le-Perreux-Park towards Paradeplatz from 2 p.m.
