The branch of the Syrian Family Planning Association in As-Suwayda Governorate and the Rose Foundation for Development and Training, in cooperation with the “Dragha” team, organized a peace marathon for bicycles this evening, with the participation of youth, civil and sports activities.
The marathon, which was held on the occasion of the International Day of Peace, extended from in front of the headquarters of the Executive Committee of the Sports Federation branch in the city of As-Suwayda towards the Military Police Roundabout, Tishreen Square and Qanawat Road towards the National Museum and from there to Al-Basel Roundabout, where a bicycle race started and ended at the marathon starting point, then followed by a second race from Al-Anqoud Roundabout to the To the headquarters of the Executive Committee of the Sports Federation branch.
The Director of the Rose Foundation for Development and Training, Ramya Nasr, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the marathon witnessed a friendly and competitive atmosphere, which contributes to promoting the values of love, as well as the culture of cycling as an environment-friendly way. Emphasizing the role of youth in working towards this.
He won the first race from Al-Basel Roundabout to the headquarters of the Executive Committee of the Sports Federation branch for males, Salman Abu Hala, then Youssef Abu Turabi and Hani Al-Kintar, and for females, Maha Abu Fakhr, followed by Hadeel Abdel-Baqi and Raghda Al-Khatib, while he came first in the second race from Al-Anqoud Roundabout to the headquarters of the Executive Committee of the Federation branch Zaidoun Kuntar was followed by Firas Naim and Amir Zaour, respectively.
