The head of the Russian Central Elections Committee, Ella Pamfilova, announced the final results of the elections to the State Duma, where the "United Russia" party won 324 seats and the Russian Communist Party won 57 seats.
Sputnik quoted Pamfilova as saying during a meeting of the Central Elections Committee: The results of the State Duma elections also showed that the “Just Russia for Truth” party won 27 seats, the Liberal Democratic Party won 21 seats, while the “New People” party won 13 seats.
According to the data of the Russian Central Election Commission published on its official website, the United Russia party won 198 seats in the electoral districts with individual mandates and 126 seats on the federal lists, thus it has obtained 324 seats, which is required by the constitutional majority.
The elections to the State Duma for the eighth legislative term were held between 17 and 19 September, in conjunction with regional and municipal elections, and remote electronic voting was organized in many regions, including Moscow.
It is worth noting that the Duma is elected for a five-year term through a mixed electoral system consisting of 225 deputies from party lists and 225 deputies in individual districts.
