2021-09-25T10:38:53.160Z

After months of border closures, Chile invites foreign tourists to explore its vast regions from October 1. The promise of a journey to the confines of the southern lands, placed under the sign of adventure.

The final step in progressive and localized deconfinement, the reopening of Chile's borders on October 1, 2021, marked one more step towards a return to a certain normality.

It should be noted that non-resident foreigners will again be authorized to enter Chile, subject to having previously obtained the mobility pass and to comply with health measures.

The mobility pass request is made online at the following page: mevacuno.gob.cl.

Sanitary measures applying to persons entering Chile

Travelers must present the negative result of a PCR test carried out in the 72 hours preceding the flight upon boarding (this obligation does not apply to children under 2 years of age).

A sworn declaration must be made online within 48 hours of boarding the c19.cl site.

Anyone entering the country must respect a strict isolation of 7 days, during which any interaction is prohibited.

As of October 1, 2021, the duration of isolation will be 5 days for travelers in possession of a mobility pass.

Strict conditions, of course, but far from insurmountable, which give us excellent reasons to come and explore the slenderest of South American countries.
