There should be even more leisure fun in the area of the swimming lake.
This is what a resolution of the local council provides, according to which a bike park is to be built on the forest path.
The whole thing should be created on a community-owned arable land.
Eichenau - Although the decision came about with only one vote against, criticism of the size of the bike park was loud on several occasions. "Everything is fine, everything is good, but exaggerated," said Wolfgang Fiebig (CSU), technical security officer. Party colleagues Josef Spiess and Michael Wölfl aimed at the follow-up costs for maintenance, which could be high due to the size of the project.
Numbers on this could not be found in the meeting template, nor were they quantified by the building administration.
The only number that remained in the room was the one named by youth officer Markus Hausberger (Greens): “Do we shy away from the project because it costs 800 euros a month?” He asked the group.
But a lot would have to come together for this sum.
It is an investment for young people and a good meeting place.
Hausberger also described the planning of the bike park as "extremely successful".
He received support from Hannelore Münster (FDP): “This should be a system for many generations of young people.
Should you let them drive in the forest and across meadows, where we want to protect nature? ”, Says the school clerk.
From this point of view, too, the bike park is a good measure.
SPD spokesman Martin Eberl was irritated by the administration's execution that the bike park was endangered by vandalism.
According to Eberl, this would then also apply to similar institutions.
Mayor Peter Münster (FDP) referred to the house rules in the local recreation area, which then also apply to the bike park.
During the construction of the bike facility, it should be protected by a construction fence.
The implementation of the project and its safety-related acceptance by the TÜV cost a total of around 30,000 euros.
