The indigenous march of the original peoples of the East, the Amazon and the Bolivian Chaco that left from the city of Trinidad, in the department of Beni, 30 days ago, is delayed and is estimated to reach the city of Santa Cruz next week and not this Friday, as planned.

The delay, according to its leaders, is due to the fatigue of the marchers, who number around 500, including children.

Indigenous peoples mobilize in defense of their territories, their identity and their culture, to demand that the Government respect their lands.

They demonstrate against the invasion and enslavement, which they say, suffer permanently.

Indigenous people from the departments of Pando, Beni, Santa Cruz and Tarija participate in the march.

The Government, through the Vice Minister of Autonomy, Álvaro Ruiz, guaranteed the indigenous march to the city of Santa Cruz with police protection, medical attention, provision of food and all the logistics required by the protesters.

The official insists that they present their list of requests to initiate dialogue and attend to their demands.

7 doctors, an ambulance and 2 wagons accompany the march.

The police guard the protesters on the side of the road.

In the last hours, Amparo Carvajal, president of the Bolivian Human Rights Assembly, has joined the march, sharing the protesters' demands and hopes to reach Santa Cruz with them.

The participants of the march finalize details of their request, which will be read once they arrive in the city of Santa Cruz.

A vigil of around 200 indigenous Chiquitanos awaits them at their final destination.

The Chiquitanos arrived in that capital on September 22, after walking 270 kilometers for 19 days from the municipality of San José de Chiquitos.
