The head of the Russian Election Observation Center Alexei Venediktov confirmed today that the elections to the Russian State Duma were fair and took place without any impurities, despite the objections submitted by some parties to the electronic results.
"No traces of hacking of the remote electronic voting system in Moscow were found, the votes were decoded correctly, and no trace of hacking was found for the three days," Venediktov said during today's meeting of the Central Election Commission, according to Sputnik.
The final results of the State Duma elections that took place from the 17th to the 19th of this month and announced by the Central Elections Committee last Tuesday showed the ruling United Russia party winning with 49.82 percent of the vote, followed by the Russian Communist Party and the Liberal Democratic Party. The “Fair Russia” party came in third place, and the “New Generation” party came in fifth place.
