A large-scale operation by police forces was held today (Friday) against criminal organizations in the Arab sector.
More than 350 policemen and border fighters took part in the operation, and they operated in a number of villages, including Yarka, Avtin and Deir al-Assad.

The operation took place after the police and the Minister of Internal Security announced yesterday that in the operation to collect weapons in the Arab sector, no criminal proceedings will be instituted against the returnees.

The police found a lot of money when they came across a case in which the wife of one of the suspects hid NIS 50,000 in a bra.
Various weapons, military equipment were also seized and 15 suspects were arrested for questioning.
