If you are gripped by the love of the country: Munich now has a new hands-on stall - there are also many other offers.

If you are gripped by the love of the country: Munich now has a new hands-on stall - there are also many other offers.

Sometimes it gets a little too cramped in the city - and then it's time to get out and into the middle of rural life!

And you don't have to go far for that.

In Riem, for example, there is now a hands-on stall.

And in Maisach you can harvest apples yourself.

The tz presents some offers.

And bang - the little piglets were already pinching.

Kristina Frank, plant manager at Stadtgüter München, had to laugh heartily when the little pigs literally found her to bite into at the presentation of the join-in stable in Riem.

“Children learn a lot about animals in books, but they can't smell or feel anything.

Here they learn by taking part: mucking out, tackling, taking responsibility! ”Said Frank enthusiastically about the new project.

There are pigs, cows, sheep and donkeys here.

Mayor Verena Dietl was also enthusiastic: “It is important that we show Munich where food comes from and how species-appropriate husbandry works.

We want to make that clear here and invite children and young people to do so, ”she enthused at the opening.

Kindergartens, school classes and private groups can now book tours with a farm experience.

By the way: The sixth grade of the Willy Brandt Comprehensive School should be the starting point.

And of course, the children were very enthusiastic about the animals.

What else is there around Munich:

Harvest apples yourself

The apple harvest started on Friday at the Wolf family's plantation.

From now on you can pick your own fruit on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Let's start with the Elstar variety.

Little by little, more will be added.

The address: Maisach, Weinbergstraße (phone: 08134 - 93 59 416).

Potatoes for a good cause

Schwarzhuber's Adventure Land is actually closed until Easter.

But: one day the farm at Schwarzhuberweg 1 in Allach opens its doors.

On Sunday, October 3rd, there will be a special campaign for the victims of the flood disaster.

From 12 noon to 4 p.m. everyone can pick potatoes themselves.

Childhood dream: a ride with the old Bulldog

Many children dream of this: drive an old Bulldog yourself.

This is possible with the Garching event company Onelife Outdoor. The trips take place in Waidhofen in the Schrobenhausen district (in the direction of Ingolstadt), a trip costs 99 euros.

The last trip for this year is on October 2nd - there are still vacancies at 9:30, 11:30 and 13:00.

Sheep in the middle of the city

Country life in the middle of the city: It's on the roof of Werk 3 in the Werksviertel-Mitte.

Sheep, bees, quail, chickens and ants live here.

The Stadt-Hochalm is not permanently accessible.

In the course of guided tours there is an insight.

The next tour on October 1st is fully booked, but the next one is already waiting on October 29th.

Celebrate Thanksgiving Week

Make sausage yourself, bake bread and tour the farm - all that is available at the Hermannsdorfer Landwerkstätten (Herrmannsdorf 7, Glonn - southeast of Munich).

In addition, Thanksgiving Week starts on Monday with many different offers.
