"Dandelion" may rise as a typhoon hits the sun

The Observatory predicts that the high-altitude disturbance will bring showers and thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea tomorrow (26); at the same time, the easterly air currents affecting southeastern China will gradually ease.

It is expected that the wind will be weak and the weather will be extremely hot in Guangdong for most of the next week. From next Tuesday (28th), it will be very hot for three consecutive days, and the temperature in the urban area will reach 33 degrees Celsius.


In addition, the Observatory expects Typhoon "Dandelion" to cross the Northwest Pacific in the next few days and gradually intensify. It may be upgraded to a super typhoon next Monday (27th), moving roughly towards Japan.

According to the Observatory, a fresh easterly airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong; at the same time, showers are affecting the northern part of the South China Sea.

It is predicted that there will be sunshine for part of the afternoon today (25th).

It was mainly cloudy tonight, with one or two showers, and it blew moderately to a fresh easterly wind.

Looking forward to tomorrow (26th), it will be generally cloudy with a few showers, more showers and squally thunderstorms in the morning; the temperature will range from 26 to 31 degrees.

The weather will be generally fine and very hot in the early to mid-term next week, but the Observatory expects some showers in the morning and evening next Wednesday (29th) and Thursday (30th).

Starting from next Tuesday (28th), the temperature is expected to be between 28 and 33 degrees for three consecutive days. Last Wednesday or Thursday, the temperature is expected to reach 36 degrees, and it is expected to reach 35 degrees in many areas.

In addition, at 12:00 noon today, Typhoon Dandelion gathered about 1,440 kilometers southeast of Okinawa Island. It is expected to move north-northwest at a speed of about 10 kilometers per hour, crossing the Northwest Pacific Ocean and gradually intensifying.

The Central Meteorological Observatory in the Mainland predicts that the intensity of dandelion will gradually increase, reaching the super-typhoon level at the strongest level, and approaching the sea south of Honshu Island, Japan. It is expected that "dandelion" will have no impact on the inland coastal areas in the next five days.
