The second Karate Youth League championship, which was held at Al-Assad Sports Hall in Aleppo, was concluded with the participation of 200 male and female players from different governorates and sports bodies.

Al-Arabi Club achieved first place in the overall ranking of the championship, and Barada Club came in second place, followed by the Police Central Club.

In the individual kata competitions, Khaled Abu Alwan won gold in the under-16 category, Hadeel Abu Raslan gold in the under-18 category, Hassan Sehnawy in the under-21 category, and Olft Brambo gold over 18 years.

In the individual combat category, males and females under 16 years old, Al-Arabi ranked first, followed by the workers of Homs, then Al-Jalaa Club. Within the under-18 competitions, Al-Arabi came first, followed by the Damascus Police Club and the Army Club in third place.

As for the under-21-year-old category, the Police Central Club came first, leaving the second place for Jaramana Club and the third for the Aleppo Police Club, while Barada Club ranked first in the over 18-year-old category, followed by Aleppo Police and then Jaramana Club.

The head of the Karate Federation, Jihad Mia, said in a statement to SANA’s sports reporter that the Karate Federation pays great attention to the clubs because the club is the basis for developing the sport, noting that the Competitions Committee seeks to establish a three-stage league in Damascus, Aleppo and Lattakia and with a points system that qualifies the player to participate in the Elite Championship.

Mia pointed out that the tournament is a mirror that reflects the work of the technical, organizational and administrative committees, and we have national experiences capable of organizing tournaments at the international level, after the federation rehabilitated specialized cadres of coaches and referees, indicating that the ambition of the game federation is to reach the world, which is a goal that is not far away. There are enough qualifications and capabilities to reach this goal.

Maher Kanaan, head of the tournament's organizing committee, indicated that the tournament had achieved organizational and technical success, noting the ability of the city of Aleppo to organize more tournaments at the level of clubs or teams.

In turn, the head of the Technical Committee of Karate in Aleppo, Zakwan Zino, explained that for the first time after more than 15 years, Aleppo hosted the tournament and enjoyed strong competitions and wide participations, and remarkable skill levels appeared for many players, which is a good indicator of the development of the game in the provinces, noting that the owners of the first places will be selected To participate in the elite tournament that will be held later.

Wisdom Lina Selim explained that the tournament was characterized by the good technical level of the players, and no case of objection to arbitration was recorded, noting that the referees are all classified and followed central courses in the international law of the game.

A number of crowned players confirmed that the will, determination and continuous training enabled them to compete vigorously and achieve good results in this tournament, noting at the same time their readiness to maintain and develop their technical level for the upcoming benefits.
