As with voters, there is no 3G rule for election workers on election day, meaning they do not have to be vaccinated, recovered or tested to do their job. However, rapid tests will be made available in the polling stations if poll workers want to be tested, Wunder announced. Otherwise, everything is done to keep the risk of infection as low as possible. In the polling stations, it is compulsory for citizens to wear a mask, who are also asked to bring their own pens. Where there is the distance between the seats, electoral officers can do without mouth and nose protection. Finding enough election workers was not a problem, says administrative employee Martina Wieczorek - despite Corona. In Penzberg, too, they rely on a comprehensive hygiene concept. Self-tests are made available for election workers. Wherever possible, they rely on a one-way rule in the polling stations, says Joachim Bodendieck, head of the “Regulatory Affairs” department in the town hall. Because the spatial conditions do not allow otherwise, the mask requirement also applies to election workers.

The market is stricter than the other municipalities when it comes to corona rules.
The election workers are tested before they start work, and there is no exception for those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered, says Habersetzer.

, election Sunday is also a relaxed one. All 90 election workers required for the 15 electoral districts have been found - twelve volunteers more than four years ago because of the postal vote.
