The mayor of Schongau had only wanted to be polite when he stepped outside the door in the Ballenhaussaaal after the city council's meeting on Saturday and saw the election campaigning Dobrindt, who had just sworn in his supporters on Marienplatz.
As mayor, he welcomed the top candidate of the CSU, as it should be when you meet the district's member of the Bundestag, explains Sluyterman.

Both exchanged a few friendly words and the mayor accepted the invitation to sit down for a cold drink.
When one of the Dobrindt supporters handed him said hat, he put it on briefly.
"I didn't even notice that a photo was taken there."
Pulled the trigger, at least that's how CSU local chairman Oliver Kellermann describes it, has none other than district administrator Andrea Jochner-Weiß.
"I was surprised that he put the election hat on." That same evening, the CSU posted the photo on Facebook, headed with the sentence "Also the mayor for Dobrindt".

Sluyterman takes the CSU coup easily, even if he does not want to leave the message as it is.
The mayor emphasizes that he carries Dobrindt on, but not in his head.
In other words: When it comes to the election, Slyuterman will of course stick with his SPD.
