Father Régis Spinoza is being prosecuted for violence with an ITT of more than eight days committed on a minor and for violence without ITT committed on several children.

Placed under judicial supervision following his indictment in June 2017, the man of the church, presumed innocent, faces a maximum sentence of ten years in prison.

A multitude of testimonies from children, but also from teachers and volunteers, were collected by the investigators, revealing a daily life of humiliation, corporal punishment and chores for some students.

Children could stay a whole day, even several days and even several weeks in a chair, without eating, in plain sight.
