The Marine Police Squadron accidentally countered the boat during an anti-smuggling operation at Sha Chau this morning (25th). Four marine policemen fell into the sea and three of them were rescued. However, the whereabouts of the female Senior Inspector Lin Wanyi is still missing and the search operation is still in progress.
The three rescued police officers were sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment and have been sent to the ward for observation.
At 5:35 pm, Commissioner of Police Siu Chak-yi went to Tuen Mun Hospital to visit the injured marine policeman. He looked heavy and stayed for about 20 minutes before leaving. When responding to media questions, he did not explain the cause of the accident. He only said that he had contacted the relevant departments, including the mainland departments.
