The Centre for Health Protection announced today (25th) 9 imported cases, all of which contained the variant virus. 8 of them had been vaccinated and 3 had symptoms when they arrived in Hong Kong, including one foreign domestic helper arriving in Hong Kong from Indonesia and one from Indonesia. The crew members arriving in Hong Kong from Singapore.
In addition, fewer than 10 cases were initially confirmed today.
The Centre for Health Protection announced today that it is investigating nine confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, including a 35-year-old foreign domestic helper who arrived in Hong Kong from Indonesia (case number: 12184). The patient arrived in Hong Kong from Indonesia on September 21 and took flight CX776 when he arrived in Hong Kong. He has had symptoms and was tested positive at the airport with the L452R variant virus. He had been vaccinated with Koxing vaccine in Indonesia.
Today, there are 9 more imported cases including a 9-month-old baby boy.

Another case involved a 48-year-old female crew member who arrived in Hong Kong from Singapore (case number: 12185). The patient arrived in Hong Kong from Singapore on September 23 and took flight CX690. She was asymptomatic when she arrived and was tested at the airport. A positive result, with L452R variant virus, had been vaccinated with Fubitai vaccine in Hong Kong, and had a positive blood antibody test report issued on July 30.
The remaining 7 patients arrived in Hong Kong from the United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Nepal and Serbia. Except for a 9-month-old baby boy, all of them were vaccinated. Some of them were diagnosed during the hotel quarantine. Four Points by Sheraton Tung Chung Hotels, Ramada Seaview Hotel Sai Ying Pun, Silka Seaview Hotel in Yau Ma Tei, etc.

The center is also investigating a confirmed case overseas. A 14-year-old female patient lives in Block 1, Huajing Garden, 61 South Bay Road, Repulse Bay. She tested negative in Hong Kong on September 5.
Then took flight CX251 from Hong Kong to the UK on September 8.
The center received a notification from the British health authorities on September 20 that the sample she took in the United Kingdom on September 10 tested positive.
The patient is asymptomatic and has been vaccinated against Fubital in Hong Kong.
For the sake of prudence, the place where she lived in Hong Kong during the incubation period was included in the mandatory test announcement yesterday.
