Republican Representative Lauren Poubert called for President Joe Biden to be impeached "for his hesitation and incompetence in performing the tasks assigned to him."
"Biden has willfully abandoned his duty as President of the United States, violated his constitutional oath to ensure that laws are faithfully implemented, and failed to ensure the national security of the United States and its citizens," the New York Daily News quoted Poebert as saying on her official page on the Congressional website.
Poubert considered it necessary to isolate Biden for several reasons, the most important of which are, according to what she said, "his complicity with the Taliban, providing a list of Americans detained in Afghanistan, failing to protect the people he exposed, and issuing hasty orders to launch an air strike that killed 10 civilians, including 7 children, in addition to showing his inability to carry out his duties." As president during the withdrawal process from Afghanistan.”
According to Poebert, Biden's deputy, Camilla Harris, is involved in covering up Biden and has a duty to acknowledge his cognitive and mental decline, calling for her to be impeached as well.
Calls have increased among the Republicans in Congress to impeach Biden, especially after his sudden announcement of the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan and the chaos in Kabul airport during the evacuation operations, including the two bombings that killed 85 civilians and 13 American soldiers.
