    Lanza was serving a residual sentence of about two years in prison for mafia and attempted extortion against two entrepreneurs from Foggia as part of the "Corona" trial, a 2013 blitz during which 24 affiliates and leading exponents of the organized crime of Foggia.


    Lanza was also involved in the operation called "Blauer" of 2011 with the accusation of having favored the inaction of the boss of the Gargano mafia Franco Li Bergolis, and in 2013 in "Piazza Pulita", for extortion because together with his brother he imposed his hiring in the 'Amica' company that deals with the collection of urban waste in the city.
