”Welcome to

The Killer Social Club

(KSC).

Audible Original's thrilling audio thriller is so immersive that one even wonders if the dark criminal organization at its heart is just the fruit of the boundless imagination of its author Frédéric Petitjean!

Conceived in twenty ten-minute episodes, the plot takes place in the United States on the day that investigator Kappa, the narrator of the story, attempts to save a man from death. The latter, whose identity is not revealed, whispers in a last breath, the enigma that will haunt the rest of the life of the policeman: KSC While he believed in yet another urban legend, this

Killer Social Club

is transformed then in reality, even darker than it appeared. Then begins a race against death: Kappa decides to infiltrate this macabre organization, even if it means paying a heavy price.

In the KSC, the rules are numerous, the mission, for its part, is simple.

Each of its members has one month to eliminate a person who has disappeared from circulation, to ensure that they never resurface.

Once the mission is accomplished, it starts again and again ...

Equipped with a simple bank card with no visible visual sign and a mobile phone allowing him to receive the instructions left by the company to remove the bodies, Kappa tries to unmask the person behind this top-secret organization.

Formed in Hollywood

The scenario comes straight out of the well-made head of the French Frédéric PetitJean. This writer and screenwriter has long been the writing director of Hollywood studios. The diversity of the environments in which he evolved allowed him to develop a flawless imagination and a fine humor. At the helm of the

Killer Social Club

, the author deploys a catchy plot, combining at the same time a police investigation, race against the clock, quirky humor and endearing characters.

On the casting side, the voices belong to French actors. We find in particular Vincent Elbaz in the role of Kappa, the investigator at the heart of the story, Mathieu Kassovitz who plays Taker, an old cop who helps the undercover agent and Fred Testot, who plays the character of Deep Throat , the mysterious protagonist. The latter is of course a reference to the informant of Watergate, the political espionage affair that prompted Richard Nixon to resign from the White House. Geneviève Doang, pillar of French dubbing, lends her voice to Myo, essential teammate of Kappa. The cast is completed by actors Thierry Fremont, Antoine Schoumsky and Constance Gay. The original music is composed by Antoine Duchene.

The podcast recalls a very real truth in any case: each year 100,000 people disappear in the United States (the figure is 10,000 in France).

The Audible Original thriller,

Killer Social Club

, has been available on the listening platform since September 7.
