The entrepreneur Paolo Calligaris was acquitted for not having committed the crime from the accusation of having killed the then partner Tatiana Tulissi.
The decision was taken late yesterday evening by the Trieste Court of Assizes after a long council chamber.
The sentence cancels the sentence of 16 years of imprisonment that had been pronounced in the first instance by the judge of the court of Udine on 19 September 2019.
The crime took place in the late afternoon of 11 November 2008. The woman, 37 years old from Villanova dello Judrio (Udine), she had been shot dead on the door of the villa in Manzano where the couple lived.
