Even after the summer holidays, strict corona rules apply in Bavaria's schools.

Aiwanger and the Free Voters are calling for a significant relaxation on one point.

Munich - The summer holidays are over, the new school year has started.

However, strict Corona * rules still apply in Bavaria's schools, including, for example, the mask requirement * at the seat and in physical education.

If, however, it is up to the free voter boss Hubert Aiwanger, this regulation should not be extended.

Corona in Bavaria: Aiwanger calls for the end of the mask requirement in schools

"The currently gratifyingly low number of positively tested * people in schools no longer justify the mask requirement," Aiwanger told the DPA on Saturday, September 25th.

According to the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, last Wednesday, September 15, only 189 out of 639,000 children and adolescents tested for Corona were positive at secondary schools in the Free State.

Aiwanger: “That's 0.03 percent.

This shows that our schools are very safe at the moment and that it is high time that the students were freed from wearing masks for hours at the seat and in sports.

Corona in Bavaria: Free voters against extending the mask rule in schools

For this reason, the Free Voters would no longer agree to an extension of the current mask regulation, emphasized the Bavarian Deputy Prime Minister.

Initially, the mask requirement was introduced from the beginning of school until October 1, in order to prevent possible infections from people returning from traveling.

"This start-up phase is now over, the testing gives a high level of safety, so let's get rid of the mask," demanded Aiwanger.
