Corona outbreak in Israel: 6,692 new verified over the weekend, decline in patients in critical condition | Israel Today

According to the Ministry of Health, 4,932 people were diagnosed with corona yesterday • 17 patients died over the weekend • 694 patients are in critical condition - the lowest number in the last week • The infection rate is 0.91


4,932 of the 115,878 corona tests performed yesterday (Friday) across Israel turned out to be positive, so that the verified corona rate is 4.30%, the Ministry of Health announced this evening.

The coefficient of adhesion is 0.91.

According to the data, from midnight to 18:19, 49,128 tests were performed, 2,030 of which came out positive - so that the verified rate for the virus today so far stands at 4.35%.

There are currently 63,112 active Corona patients in Israel - 980 of whom are hospitalized.

694 of the patients are in critical condition (a continuous decrease which is reflected in the lowest number since last Saturday, when there were 712 patients in critical condition) and 221 respirators.

Twelve of the patients died yesterday from the virus, and together with the five who have died so far, 7,641 of the patients have died from corona since the outbreak of the plague in Israel.

6,085,670 residents of Israel received the first dose of vaccine against Corona - 5,610,786 of them also received the second dose.

To date, 3,185,582 Israelis have also received the third dose of the vaccine.

The Ministry of Health also said that the condition of patients yesterday is difficult according to age groups for every 100,000 people among those aged 60 and under, it stands at 8.2 without the vaccinated, 1.4 for the vaccinated without the booster dose and at 0.5 for the vaccinated with the booster dose.

The numbers among those aged 60 and over are significantly higher: 171.8 unvaccinated patients out of every 100,000 people, 35.9 patients among those vaccinated without a booster dose - and 4.2 among vaccinated people with a booster dose.
