How did the people from Brandenburg vote in the federal election in 2021?

The results from the state at a glance.

Potsdam - The state of Brandenburg is one of the larger federal states with an area of around 30,000 km² and one of the smaller ones with a population of 2.53 million. Only 85 inhabitants per km² live here, but the trend is increasing. Because Brandenburg is now considered an extended suburb of Berlin and many city dwellers are drawn to the surrounding area - not only because of the rental prices. The Brandenburgers do not necessarily like that: In 1996, the attempt to merge the two countries by referendum failed. In 2017, 2.05 million Brandenburgers were eligible to vote. A special feature of this Bundestag election is that the SPD Chancellor candidate Olaf Scholz and the Green Chancellor candidate Annalena Baerbock are running in the same Brandenburg constituency.
