Friends of the murdered young woman on a trip across the country will also gather in Florida this Saturday to remember her. Police and the FBI continue to search for her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, of whose behavior new details have emerged.

Gabby Petito's funeral will be held this Sunday in Long Island, New York, where she was originally from, a week after her body was found in a camp in a national park in Wyoming.

The memorial service will be held at the Moloney Funeral Home in Holbrook and will be open to the public;

her family has asked that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the future Gabby Petito Foundation.

This Saturday afternoon, at 7:15 pm, her friends from North Port, Florida, where Petito lived with her boyfriend, will also gather to remember her.

"Join us for a commemorative butterfly toss and candle lighting event in memory of Gabby Petito," reads the invitation, as reported by local newspaper North Port Sun.

The 22-year-old disappeared in August while traveling across the country in a pickup truck with Brian Laundrie, her fiancé.

The man returned home to Florida alone with the vehicle on September 1, 10 days before the young woman's family reported her missing.

Laundrie is currently unaccounted for.

A federal court in Wyoming ordered her arrest for "activities after Gabrielle Petito's death," the FBI announced Thursday.

Apparently, the man used a debit card and the password to an account that did not belong to him, for an amount greater than $ 1,000 between August 30 and September 1, according to the CNN network.

The FBI searched Laundrie's home last Monday, the day after they found Petito's remains.

In recent days, North Port, Florida police have been searching for the man at a 25,000-acre wildlife refuge where he allegedly went on a hike and did not return.

His family said that he is not missing, but "is hiding."

According to CNN, Laundrie left his wallet and cell phone at home.

In footage released by North Port Police, dozens of officers and rescue teams can be seen searching for Laundrie in swampy areas of the Carlton Reservation, near his parents' home.

"We are searching through forested areas, we are searching through bodies of water, we are searching swampy areas," North Port Police Commander Joe Fussell told the local FOX channel in Tampa.

New details of the relationship emerge

A Louisiana couple vacationing in Jackson, Wyoming told CNN that in August they witnessed an incident at a restaurant with Petito and Laundrie. Nina Angelo and her boyfriend, Matt England, said they saw a "commotion" as the youth left The Merry Piglets Tex-Mex restaurant. Apparently

Petito was crying and Laundrie looked angry, he went in and out of the restaurant several times and was even aggressive with the local staff,

Angelo said. The waitress who served them was also visibly shocked by the incident, Angelo said.

That wasn't the only incident Petito and Laundrie got involved in during their trip.

Last Monday, the Grand County Sheriff's Office in Utah released the audios of an emergency call to 911 from a witness who said he saw how

a man slapped a woman

and then saw them leave in a white Ford Transit van with Florida license plates.

The call prompted authorities to detain Laundrie, who was driving the truck, on August 12.

The police recorded the incident as a mental and emotional lapse, at the request of both, and wrote in the report that Petito had slapped Laundrie.

The officers forced the couple to spend the night in different places to avoid a possible assault.

On Tuesday, forensic doctors revealed that Petito's cause of death had been a homicide, although details of the causes of his death have not been released.

Petito and Laundrie left New York in July and planned to cross the country on a four-month trip aboard a truck they had adapted for the adventure.

The young woman documented the trip on Instagram, uploading photos from national parks and nature reserves in Colorado, Utah and Kansas, among other sites.

The last time Petito posted a photo on his Instagram account was on August 25.

Her mother, Nichole Schmidt, said the last time she received a text message from her daughter was on August 30, but she wasn't sure if it was her daughter who sent it.

Before the fateful trip, the couple were living at Laundrie's parents' home in North Port, Florida.
