Berlin election 2021: Election of the House of Representatives will take place on September 26th
The super election year 2021 will culminate in the federal election on September 26th.
At the same time, the citizens of Berlin decide on their state parliament.
Since 2016, members of the SPD, the Left and the Greens have been sitting on the government bench, while the CDU, AfD and FDP are in the opposition.
The Social Democrats form the strongest parliamentary group with 38 out of 160 seats, followed by the CDU (31 seats), Greens (27), Left (27), AfD (22) and FDP (11).
A decision will be made before the election: The governing mayor Michael Müller (SPD) will not stand for re-election.
The social democrat is running for the Bundestag.

Wahl-O-Mat for Berlin-Wahl: How it works and history
The Wahl-O-Mat comprises 38 theses, which users can answer with “agree”, “disagree”, “neutral” or “skip thesis”.
Wahl-O-Mat users can compare their personal positions with those of the approved parties.
The users can then weight the answers differently in order to underline their attitude to certain topics.
Before the result is displayed to the users in the form of a bar chart, the Wahl-O-Mat compares the answers with the election programs of the respective parties.
The question-and-answer tool celebrated its premiere in 2002, and according to the

, the Wahl-O-Mat has been used over 85 million times since then.
Wahl-O-Mat result serves as information basis for the election to the House of Representatives in Berlin
After all questions have been answered, the Wahl-O-Mat shows the result in the form of a bar chart. However, the result is not a recommendation as to where you should ultimately make the crosses on your ballot papers. Rather, it serves as an information base. "You should therefore under no circumstances make your decision for or against a party solely dependent on your Wahl-O-Mat result," emphasizes the

The Federal Center recommends viewing the result as a “starting point” in order to obtain further information.
This year the Wahl-O-Mat was already available for the state elections in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saxony-Anhalt.
