The corona in Israel:
Although the number of verified patients has decreased in recent days, as has the rate of tests and the coefficient of infection, the volatility and change in the nature of the tests during the holidays make it difficult to determine a trend.
The health system estimates, however, that returning to school, along with returning from vacations abroad and returning to meetings, will lead to an upward trend in morbidity in the next two weeks, after which a decline will begin, with the restraining factors being vaccines and more careful public behavior.
The health system warns that on Tuesdays to Thursdays large loads are expected in the testing complexes due to the end of the holidays, the return of many from abroad and the results of the antigen operation - the quick tests before school starts - which could lead to further tests. From Rosh Hashanah, however, a senior health official warns that "the funds are not yet giving the maximum."
Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz held a press conference at Wolfson Hospital yesterday, during which he expressed satisfaction with the booster's effectiveness and referred to government policy: "We have decided not to impose closures or harm the economy."
81% of the verified who returned from training were not vaccinated
It should be noted that out of about 30,000 people who returned from training after being there on Rosh Hashanah, about 3,440 have been detected so far with the virus, of which 25 have been hospitalized, 19 of them in critical condition.
Two of them died from corona, and for two more the cause of death is still under investigation.
"Israel Today" has learned that 81% of the verified people who returned from training are not vaccinated.
"This is about 15% positive - this is a very high rate, and the cooperation of the verified in the investigations was very partial, but I hope they kept to themselves," says a senior health official.
Meanwhile, according to data updated by the Ministry of Health yesterday (until 17:54), it emerged that 2,621 new carriers were identified in 68,347 new tests.
