In an initiative that is the first of its kind, the Arab Writers Union, on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of the great Arab poet, Abu Al-Tayyib Al-Mutanabbi, held an honorary symposium that included the readings of a number of writers and researchers about the life of this poet and their opinion of his literature and his role in supporting the Arabic language as one of the pillars of the cultural diversity of mankind.

The writer Falak Hosariah, who moderated the symposium, pointed out that Al-Mutanabbi was the filler of the world and the preoccupation of people, and his literature added a great value and a linguistic and poetic dimension to the language of the adversary, which will remain as long as eternity remains, as did his poems and aspirations throughout history.

In turn, the poet Muhammad Hassan Ali explained that when we talk about Arabic, it is necessary to mention Abu al-Tayyib al-Mutanabbi, one of its great masters, if not the most important and most important of them, as he was one of the great poets of the world throughout all ages, leaving us after all these centuries a great legacy of poetry and wisdom.

As for the researcher, Dr. George Jabbour, he explained that Al-Mutanabbi has many opponents, but his poems remain the most widely circulated in the Arab world, as in our difficult time we need Al-Mutanabbi to raise our pride and raise our dignity, pointing out that he participated in many local and Arab seminars concerning the stature of this Arab poet.

As for the educational director, Nasser Bahsas, he considered that the role of Al-Mutanabbi in the Arabic language should be strongly present within the educational curricula, and this is what we all strive for, because the poems of this poet are an essential pillar in the language, its rules, and its statement.

On the other hand, the researcher Al-Arqam Al-Zoubi, a member of the Executive Office of the Writers Union, referred to Al-Mutanabbi’s linguistic status through the ideas, visions and topics filled with his poems, regardless of the discussions that were raised against him and the sharp literary differences in his life with poets, critics and linguists.

In his statement, the head of the Writers Union, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani, said that Al-Mutanabbi remained the most prominent Arab poet at all levels throughout the ages, firmly entrenching his position as the first Arab poet.
