The resistance against the cell phone mast in the Mauggen industrial park has failed.

Almost 70 percent of those eligible to vote in Bockhorn rejected the petition of a local citizens' initiative.

Bockhorn

- A cell phone mast can now be built in the Mauggen industrial park.

This is the majority result of a referendum that was carried out in connection with the election to the German Bundestag.

Of the 2,147 votes cast on this topic, 1,483 eligible voters (69.82 percent) rejected the request of a local citizens' initiative.

This wanted to repeal the decision of the municipal council of February 25th to propose the site of the water association Erding-Ost as a location for a permanent radio fixed station of the Telekom.

To this end, she had requested a referendum with over 520 signatures by means of a referendum.

According to the current constitution and municipal code, this would require 20 percent of the votes cast.

However, these have not been achieved, so the resolution of the municipal council continues to apply.
