Below is an overview of the constituencies.
Munich - Bavaria's metropolis is calling for federal elections in five constituencies. These show up very differently in terms of population density. The constituency south with an area of 52.5 km² and 340,200 inhabitants and a population density of 6,478.0 inhabitants / km² has the typical characteristics of a lively metropolitan region. The constituency of Munich-Land, on the other hand, shows its rural face with just 511.9 inhabitants / km².

The voter turnout was high in all five constituencies in 2017 and ranged from 76.9 in Munich-North to 83.9 in Munich-Land. The current number of employees subject to social security contributions is also above average compared to the national average, with around 605 per 1,000 inhabitants in urban areas and 684 in rural areas. The unemployment rate in the constituencies of the city is around 5.3%, in the Munich area around 3.5%.
