Tartous-Sana
The elements of the Tartous Fire Brigade put out the fire that broke out today in the forests of the village of Isqbula and Beit Hussein farm in the Sheikh Saad area in the governorate's countryside.
The commander of the Tartous Fire Brigade, Colonel Samir Shamma, told SANA reporter that the members of the regiment put out the fire in cooperation with the Forestry Department in the Directorate of Agriculture and the local community, pointing out that the fire broke out on large areas of lands planted with olives.
He pointed out that 10 firefighting vehicles, tractors and bulldozers participated in extinguishing the fire, as the firefighters faced difficulty in reaching the place due to its ruggedness and the absence of agricultural roads and fire lines.
