Update, 5.30 p.m.:

The top candidate from the Landshut district, Hubert Aiwanger, has now made a faux pas on Twitter.

On the short message portal he published exit polls (research group Wahlen).

For this purpose, people are asked about their vote on election day.

In connection with these exit polls, he called on people to vote and to give free voters their vote.

However, the head of politics at Münchner Merkur, Christian Deutschländer, was able to quickly take a screenshot of the tweet before it was deleted again.

Publication of the numbers is considered a criminal offense and can only take place after the polling stations have closed.

All further information and the criticism from CSU General Secretary Markus Blume can be found in our Bayern ticker for the federal election.

Update, 4:05 p.m.:

Could Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger soon sit in the Bundestag?

He is the top candidate from the Landshut district and, according to surveys, could actually make it to Berlin.

As the

BR

reports, his party comes to about three percent according to the survey.

Aiwanger therefore no longer sees the jump over the five percent hurdle in the distant future.

He said that in mid-July.

According to his ideas, a coalition with the Union and possibly with the FDP would be possible.

In July, the state chairman announced that he would also participate in the opposition and give up his post as minister of economics.

Whether he will actually make it will be seen after 6 p.m.
