A similar value was only reached around 2 p.m. in the last federal election in 2017.

The Regensburg polling stations reported a turnout of 4.8 percent by 10:00 a.m.,


but

including postal voters,

it was already 54.8 percent.

In Regensburg, according to the city, 105,973 citizens are entitled to vote, more than half (53,016) had requested postal votes.

In Ingolstadt it was 18.6 percent - without postal voting, as a spokesman for the local electoral office emphasized.
