The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces this morning in the occupied cities of Jerusalem and Jenin in the West Bank is part of its open war against the Palestinian people.

In a statement carried by Wafa Agency, the Foreign Ministry said that this massacre amounted to a war crime and a crime against humanity, calling on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards the Palestinians under occupation and to provide them with international protection.

The Foreign Ministry called on the International Criminal Court to quickly start its investigations into the continuing crimes of the occupation against the Palestinian people, in order to hold the perpetrators accountable.

In the same context, the Palestine Liberation Organization, in a statement, held the international community, its bodies and institutions, led by the United Nations and the UN Security Council, responsible for the continuing massacres of the occupation against the Palestinians, the most recent of which was its massacre in Jerusalem and Jenin.

The organization stressed that the failure to enforce the laws and resolutions of international legitimacy, especially those related to human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, serves as a green light for the occupation to continue its crimes.

Five Palestinians were martyred, wounded and others were arrested this morning, during the Israeli occupation forces' storming of the towns of Beit Anan in occupied Jerusalem and Burqin and Kafr Dan in Jenin.
