Olympic medalist surfer Shahar Tzobari, who has represented Israel three times at the Olympics: Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016, was elected today (Sunday) by the new Athletes Committee of the Israel Olympic Committee to chair the committee.
Zubari represented the Athletes Committee in the management of the Israel Olympic Committee.
He will replace Neta Rivkin, who served as the committee's chairman on the current board. In addition, Zubari will serve as a member of the Finance Committee of the Israel Olympic Committee.
Four athletes from the nine members of the committee: Shachar Tzobari, Yaakov Tomarkin, Hanna Kneizba-Minenko, who will join the Gender Equality Committee of the Israel Olympic Committee, and Linoy Ashram, represented the committee in the plenum of the Israel Olympic Committee.

The other members of the committee are: Ilana Kartish who will be a member of the sports committee (the professional committee), Nofar Edelman will join the achievement sports director and Yuval Filo will be a member of the audit committee, Girma said and Andy Moraz.
