Today, the Iraqi judiciary issued warrants against the participants in a conference organized by personalities and forces in the city of Erbil, during which it called for the normalization of relations with the Israeli occupation entity.

Judge Muhammad al-Jumaili, from the presidency of the Anbar Appeals Court, told SANA’s reporter in Baghdad, “The Anbar Investigation Court issued an arrest warrant for five people in accordance with Article 201 of the Iraqi Penal Code, which criminalizes any contact with the Zionist enemy or promotes Zionism, and sentences the perpetrators of this shameful, treacherous act to death.”

Al-Jumaili added: “Other arrest warrants were issued by the Karkh Investigation Court at the request of the Iraqi National Security Advisor against former MP Mithal Al-Alusi, whose membership was revoked by Parliament after a visit he made to the Israeli occupation entity, in addition to two other people.”

The Iraqi government confirmed yesterday that normalization with the Israeli occupation entity is constitutionally and legally rejected, and that such meetings do not represent the people and residents of Iraqi cities, noting that Iraq's historical position is consistent in terms of supporting the just Palestinian cause, foremost of which is its right to an independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, and rejecting all forms of settlement, aggression and occupation. practiced by Israel against the Palestinian people.

Iraqi Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi called for strict legal measures to be taken to silence dissonant voices calling for normalization with the Zionist entity, and to hold accountable anyone who tempted himself to prejudice national constants.

Al-Halbousi said in a statement, "The Iraqi position rejecting the so-called normalization with the Zionist entity will not change with the meeting of a group of poor and hired men who tried in vain to distort Iraq's firm, decisive and honorable position on the Palestinian issue."

Political parties, parliamentary blocs and community organizations continued for the second day in a row their strong rejection and denunciation of what happened in Erbil, stressing that the conference is a crime and a high treason for the cause of the free people in the world.

The Popular Mobilization Authority confirmed that what happened in Erbil is a crime and a high betrayal of the Palestinian cause, which is still the cause of all free people in the world.

The coalition media office stated in a statement that it "rejects and condemns all voices calling for normalization with the usurping Zionist entity, and sees them as a threat to the values ​​and constants of the people and the Iraqi state," stressing that the Palestinian issue represents the central Arab issue, and the Palestinian people have the right to struggle to recover their stolen rights.

In turn, the (Dawa) Party called on the Iraqi government and judiciary to prosecute the participants in the Erbil conference, and said in a statement that these “represent only themselves and do not express the reality of Iraqis with all their components and call for normalization and adherence to agreements of shame and disgrace with the Zionist entity within the axis of bargaining, which is destined to be disappointed and lost in front of The will of the people and the resistance.

The party added that “promoting the relationship and normalization with the usurping Zionist enemy is a legal crime according to the Iraqi Penal Code, and the judicial and governmental authorities should take the initiative to prosecute the advocates of this condemned gathering, its speakers and participants in preparing for it and facilitating its convening.”

The Iraqi Bar Association demanded that all those who call for normalization with the Zionist entity be prosecuted and that punishment be imposed on them in accordance with the provisions of the Iraqi constitution that rejects racist movements.

The head of the Lawyers Syndicate, Diaa Al-Saadi, said in a statement: “From time to time, voices of dissonance appear that are shaped to betrayal and employment for the usurping foreigner, including what we witnessed in the conference of humiliation and subservience that was held in Erbil to include the demand for normalizing relations with the criminal Zionist entity, which is a great betrayal of the history of the Iraqi people. With the sacrifices and the blood of the martyrs that bled on the land of Palestine against the usurping entity that continues to practice killing, displacement and intimidation against oppressed peoples.”

The General Union of Writers and Writers in Iraq denounced the normalization with the Israeli occupation and condemned the suspicious conferences that seek to do so due to the violation of the rights of a brotherly people who suffered from Zionist oppression and oppression, calling on the responsible authorities to prevent the holding of conferences that would offend the Iraqi people and the peoples who believe in human values.

The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate expressed its denunciation and denunciation of all forms of normalization with the Zionist entity, and said in a statement, "The attempts at normalization are an underestimation of the struggle and struggle of the Palestinian people in order to recover their usurped rights and live in security and freedom on their land."
