The State Attorney's Office today (Monday) filed an indictment in the Nazareth District Court against Muad Hib, a 27-year-old resident of Zarzir, for the murder of his mother, Rasha Kulasha, a resident of Nof Hagalil, in early August.
According to the indictment, after the murder Hib hid his mother's body in the mountainous Jordan.
The investigation began after a private vehicle broke through a police checkpoint in the Jordan area, and a suspicion arose that it was a criminal incident.
While trying to locate the car, suspicion arose that the owner of the vehicle was missing and that there was a connection between this fact and the breach of the checkpoint.

As the investigation progressed, the suspicion grew that this was a young man who murdered his mother, and police detectives intensified attempts to apprehend the suspect, who disappeared for several hours.
Later, the suspect tried to break through a checkpoint once more, and he was arrested at the end of a foot chase in the Nahalal area.
After 26 hours of searching, the woman's body was discovered in the mountainous Jordan area, disguised as having been covered in sand and leaves.
As part of the investigation, three sons of Muklesha and another relative suspected of aiding the murder were arrested.
Later, all were released except Muad Hib, who was identified as the main culprit in the murder.
Despite the fact that the family members did not cooperate, the investigators managed to gather enough evidence against the young man, and today the indictment was filed against him as well as a request to extend his detention until the end of the proceedings.
