Difficult situation in Freimann: Today TS Jahn votes again on the sale of its three hectare property.

Difficult situation in Freimann: Today TS Jahn votes again on the sale of its three hectare property.

The dispute over the Jahn sports grounds and the “Sakrisch Guat” business on Freisinger Landstrasse is entering the next round: By a member decision of the Turnerschaft (TS) Jahn, the three hectares of land including the inn were actually sold to Bayerische Hausbau (BHG) in 2018.

But the district court doubted the decision in early 2021 because too few members had taken part in the vote.

Therefore, a vote will be taken again in today's general assembly.

Munich-Freimann: The initiative is committed to the fair sale of Jahn properties

“Our board of directors should finally accept the rules.

So clearly a tender so that our non-profit mass sports club achieves a reasonable price, ”says Tilman Steiner (81) from the initiative for the fair sale of Jahn properties.

"And secondly, a sensible division of the areas to be built on, so that the Jahn site is not torn apart and the idyll with the traditional restaurant is preserved in the district."

More than 6000 Freimanner have signed a petition to preserve the economy.

The BHG had terminated the lease contract in 2019 by Bernhard Scholl, the host of the "Sakrisch Guat".

After a dispute in court, the dismissal was confirmed by the district court this year.

The new building area is to be expanded on the site of the gymnastics club

Hausbau wants to expand its approved new building area on Freisinger Landstrasse to the north on the grounds of the gymnastics association.

640 apartments are to be built here, as well as commercial space, green spaces and perhaps a natural open-air swimming pool.

The association expects the sale to finance its hall construction at its headquarters on Weltenburger Strasse (Bogenhausen) as well as money for a new hall in Freimann.

Since the validity of the sale is now in the balance, the BHG was probably not the owner of the "Sakrisch Guat" at the time of termination.

However, the management board of TS Jahn does not want to maintain the old lease either.

Sharp criticism of the previous sales process

So far, the association has received ten million euros in a first installment from Bayerische Hausbau.

The amount of the second installment depends on the future development.

But critics at TS Jahn worry that there is not enough money left for the hall in Freimann.

"Because of the land values, a sales price that is at least twelve million euros higher is possible," says City Councilor Dirk Höpner (60, Munich list).

There would even be high offers from other investors.

"The previous sales process is completely non-transparent and incomprehensible," complains Höpner.

Club manager Sven Lommatzsch, on the other hand, holds that many discussions were held with potential property developers in 2018, but Bayerische Hausbau made "the only reliable offer".

The ten million euros have also already flowed into the construction of the new sports hall in Bogenhausen.

On the TS-Jahn website it says: Reversing the construction work on Weltenburger Straße could destroy the existence of the association.

Sufficient financial means are available for the construction of the hall in Freimann, according to Lommatzsch.

How things will go on with the cult tavern and the Jahn site and whether the dispute in the club will settle will be shown tonight during the virtual vote.
