Unterallgäu - Stephan Stracke (CSU) defended his direct mandate with a clear lead over the competition in the constituency of Ostallgäu, to which large parts of the Unterallgäu belong.

His party colleague Alexander Engelhard (constituency Neu-Ulm, to which the rest of the Unterallgäu belongs) also secured the most first votes.

He posted the best result in the Unterallgäu district.

Around 10 p.m. on Sunday evening, almost all of the 461 results from the Ostallgäu constituency were known. Only one district in Kaufbeuren was counted, as was the Ettringen town hall, where the postal votes were still evaluated. However, nothing changed in the most important results:

Stephan Stracke

(CSU)

maintains

his direct mandate with almost 39 percent, but has lost numerous votes compared to the 2017 election. At that time, Stracke had almost 49 percent of the first votes.

Behind the already incumbent member of the Bundestag,

Regina Leenders

(SPD)

landed

razor-

thinly with 12.3 percent

in the first votes in the constituency of Ostallgäu,

ahead of

Daniel Pflügl

(Greens) with 12.2 percent.

Christian Sedlmeir

(AfD) scored 10.2 percent,

Mariana Braunmiller

(Free Voters) 9.0 percent and

Kai Fackler

(FDP) 7.2 percent. The remaining 10.3 percent went to the other candidates.

Leenders

(11, 4) and

others

(27.0).

The

CSU also

had to accept major losses

in the second votes

(2017: 42 percent, now only 32 percent), although this time it again got the most second votes in total. The

SPD

gained 15.6

percent of

the vote in the Kaufbeuren constituency, ahead of the

Greens

(12.0 percent). At roughly the same level as in 2017, it is followed by the

FDP

(10.9 percent), which, unlike four years ago

, leaves

the

AfD

behind (13.3 percent in 2017; now 10.0 percent of the second votes). The

free voters

come to 9.1 percent, all

others

to 10.7 percent.

The distribution of the
