China today successfully launched a new satellite into space from the Jiuquan Center in the northwest of the country.
And the Chinese news agency Xinhua reported that the Jilin/1 Gaofen 02D satellite was launched on board a Quaizhou/1A carrier rocket, as it entered its planned orbit successfully, making this launch the 11th mission of the Quaizhou series of carrier rockets.
Earlier this month, China successfully launched a new Direct Broadcasting Satellite (DBS) from the Xichang Center in Sichuan Province.
