Berlin / Munich - After the seven-day incidence in Germany had fallen continuously the days before, the Robert Koch Institute * (RKI) recorded a slight increase in new coronavirus * infections on Monday morning for the second day in a row.

The nationwide seven-day incidence was, according to the information from the RKI, which refers to the information from the health authorities, at 61.7.

On Sunday the value was 61.4.

Compared to the previous day there was hardly any dynamic.

A week ago the RKI reported a value of 71.0.

According to the latest figures from the RKI, 3022 new infections were recorded within 24 hours.

The total number of cases since the pandemic began rose to 4,199,400.

The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, however, as many infections are not detected.

According to the new information, ten deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours.

A week ago there were 13 deaths.

The death toll in connection with the coronavirus in Germany rose by ten to 93,403.

According to the RKI, the number of those who have recovered is around 3,966,700.

The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was last reported by the RKI on Friday at 1.58, a decrease of 0.3 compared to the previous week's value.

The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
