Region - That was no surprise: CSU candidate Alexander Dobrindt, who had spent the extremely exciting election evening in Berlin and, as chairman of the CSU regional group in the German Bundestag, was also asked as an interview partner, once again clearly won the direct mandate in his constituency 226 can. The Peißenberger got 41.9 percent of the first votes, but with this result he does not come close to his election success of 2017, when he was able to unite 47.9 percent of the votes. In general, the CSU suffered heavy losses in the Free State, and in our constituency it only got 35.1 percent of the second votes - in 2017 that was a comfortable 42.9 percent.
The SPD with the Garmisch-Partenkirchen candidate Dr. Sigrid Meierhofer won 14.4 percent of the first votes and 14.5 percent of the second votes. The Social Democrats became the second strongest force in our constituency and are happy about this success. With Elisabeth Löwenbourg-Brzenzinski, the Greens won 11.9 percent of the first votes and 13.4 percent of the second votes - an increase of almost four percentage points, but they had hoped for more. The FDP, which started with Martin Sielmann in the constituency, got 6.3 percent of the first votes and 10.4 percent of the second votes - a very similar result to 2017. Gerrit Huy got 7.1 percent of the first votes and for the AfD 7.9 percent for the second vote (a decrease of 4.2 percentage points). The Free Voters with Arnold Reuss come to 7.4 percent in the first and 8,4 percent for the second vote.
The other parties and associations played no role (we give the first share of the vote), such as the Left 2.0 percent;
the ÖDP 3.1 percent;
the base 3.1 percent;
Bavaria party 1.8 percent;
Volt 0.4 percent and the non-party candidate Ricard Ryssel 0.7 percent.
The CSU has remained the strongest force in constituency 226 “under difficult conditions”, as Alexander Dobrindt comments.
He was able to defend his mandate in the Bundestag and is entering the Bundestag for the sixth time.
He himself spoke of a good result and thanked his voters for their trust.
