2021-09-29T23:01:47.996Z

NEW - The biennial watchmaking week is back from November 24 to 28. An edition which, this year, necessarily changes dimension, with more than 45 brands present.

What if the center of gravity of the watchmaking world was no longer in Switzerland or Hong Kong, but in Dubai, halfway between Europe and Asia? Dubai Watch Week, a watchmaking biennial created in 2015 by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons (one of the world's leading luxury watch and jewelry retailer), is back from November 24 to 28, 2021 over more than 70,000 m² in heart of Dubai's financial district. Enough to make it the biggest physical watchmaking event of the year, with no less than 45 major brands present, not to mention those who will be on site to join in and meet the exceptional watchmaking clientele present on site.

“The importance of Dubai Watch Week 2021 is more evident than ever,”

explains Hind Seddiqi, Managing Director of Dubai Watch Week.

We look forward to welcoming everyone on site - from collectors and curious residents to young people. ”

Dubai is a 7-hour flight from Paris, with only a 2-hour time difference and a weather forecast of between 20 and 31 ° at the end of November.

On site, visitors will have free access to what is the largest and most important non-commercial watchmaking event in the Middle East, and discover the latest novelties from major houses such as Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Tudor, Hublot or Chopard.

The program includes the Horology Forum, a series of round tables on subjects such as

“NFT and luxury cryptocurrencies”

, masterclasses, practical workshops led by expert craftsmen.

Not to mention the Creative Hub, an educational and cultural platform aimed at sharing watchmaking knowledge.

Some of these events involve preservation via the Dubai Watch Week website.

Dubai Watch Week

The second-hand luxury watch resale site WatchBox will offer a dedicated space there. It must be said that this year, Dubai Watch Week will also offer a Collector's Lounge. A new space dedicated to watch enthusiasts from around the world, to connoisseurs, where to discuss the latest innovations and watchmaking news while interacting with big names in the watchmaking industry. It is also within the framework of this Collector's Lounge that the unique limited editions of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons will be presented to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates. Lovers of beautiful watches will be able to admire during this Dubai Watch Week all the winning watches of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève 2021.

In 2019, this watchmaking week attracted more than 9,000 visitors in 2019. In an entirely different context, and after months of closing shops and factories, the attendance should undoubtedly be more important this year.

Especially since Dubai is currently organizing the Expo Dubai 2020 universal exhibition. Scheduled from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021, it had been postponed and is being held from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
