Bayrischzell - The Bayrischzell warm outdoor pool had a decline in visitors this year: 1200 fewer people than two years ago bathed here this summer - in 2020 the pool was closed due to corona.
The cause was the rainy July and August, said treasurer Josef Teucher in the local council. “The summer was very English,” commented Mayor Georg Kittenrainer (CSU). Two councilors also spoke up to report on their experiences in the bathroom. Willy Kravanja bought an annual pass (non-party) and, according to his own statement, went to the swimming pool more often this year than in previous years. “The atmosphere there was nice,” he said and also praised the kiosk there. Regina Bleier (CSU) also reported that she had been to the outdoor pool a lot this year. What she noticed, however, disappointed her, she said. Last year, the outdoor pool was an important topic for the locals.
As is well known, there were two options for voting on the future of the Alpine swimming pool with the request for a council and the referendum (we reported). "There was a need to keep it," emphasized Bleier. But then I won't go there. “There were a lot of young families who came over from the hotel. But unfortunately very few locals, ”she said. "That's a shame." Kittenrainer replied: "I've heard that too."
Teucher cannot say whether there were more or less Bayrischzeller in the bathroom.
There are no statistics for this.
The season ticket billing is not recorded specifically for the annual balance sheet for the warm outdoor pool.
Even if it did, this was not a receipt, as not only locals bought this card, but guests too.
On the other hand, the treasurer certainly knows that 9,700 people bought a ticket at the pool counter this year (2019: 10,900).
In terms of income, this corresponds to a total net sum of 23,300 euros.
Compared to two years ago, that's 1000 euros less.
The warm outdoor pool was open from May 31st to September 12th.
